CT2 - Building renovation passports and EPCs

To be updated following adoption of the recast EPBD

CT2 focuses on the renovation of existing buildings, particularly concerning Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). The integration of renovation passports into EPCs and the implementation of strategies to achieve identified savings are key aspects of CT2's work.

Control systems are crucial for EPC success, especially when tied to Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS). CT2 will prioritise the quality and training of experts involved in setting energy standards. Additionally, the team will address financing for building improvements, emphasising the need for high-quality outcomes.

Furthermore, CT2 will explore the use of databases for registration of EPCs and how they may improve building and energy performance data.

The team will cover building certification in connection to sale or rental of buildings as well as the regular certification of for instance public buildings.
