CT2 focuses on Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and the interactions between renovation passports and EPCs and the implementation of strategies to achieve identified savings. Additionally, the team will explore financing for building improvements, emphasising the need for high-quality outcomes.
Control systems are crucial for EPC success, especially when tied to Minimum Energy Performance Standards or monitoring the National Building Renovation Plans. CT2 will also address the quality and training of experts involved in setting energy standards.
Furthermore, CT2 will explore the use of databases for registration of EPCs and how they may improve buildings and energy performance data.
The team will cover building certification in connection with the sale or rental of buildings as well as the regular certification of, for instance, public buildings.
